The Maine East Athletics mission focuses on the complete success of our students, and I have always been a firm believer that interscholastic athletics is an immense part of excelling in an educational setting. We currently offer 26 athletic teams made up of 12 girls, 11 boys, and 2 co-ed programs (cheer & dance). Maine East is a proud member of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and Central Suburban League (CSL) and competes in the North Division of the CSL conference. Here at Maine East we are all Blue Demons! Seneca Valley has won four WPIAL championships, the latest coming in 2014. Freshman Jillian Marvin scored the lone goal in the semifinal win over Norwin. LaVigna and Stuck each scored in a 2-1 win over Butler in the quarterfinals. The Indians are chasing their third WPIAL title after winning in 2010 and ’12. Stuck, a Bucknell recruit, scored 15 goals this season for Peters Township.
